KKR Star Angkrish Raghuvanshi's Candid Chat With Harsha Bhogle Is Pure Innocence. Video | Cricket News

The Indian Premier League (IPL) unearthed yet another gem in the form of Angkrish Raghuvanshi in the 2024 campaign as Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals by 106 runs on Wednesday. The 18-year-old batsman played a 54-run knock from 27 balls at a strike rate of 200. He hit 5 fours and 3 sixes. While Raghuvanshi’s innings was full of boundaries, it was his conversation with commentator Harsha Bhogle during the mid-innings break that also entertained the fans.

With an innocent smile on his face, Raghuvanshi started the conversation by expressing how excited he was to talk to Harsha, who also replied that it was exciting for him to see the young KKR star bat.

“I just wanted to look at the ball and react. I had been working in the nets for the last few weeks and just enjoyed watching Sunil play. After watching the SRH match, nothing is a winning score, we will be good have to bowl. Bowl in the right channels and force them into mistakes,” Raghuvanshi said after the match. But the conversation wasn’t as clear and simple as the young batsman found himself in the limelight after a fiery half-century.

Raghuvanshi was also sent by the KKR management to speak to the media at the post-match press conference. There, he said it was “fun” to play the thrilling knock against Delhi Capitals.

He added that the Kolkata-based franchise has secured two points against Delhi Capitals and that is what matters.

“It was fun. I got into the swing of things… It’s nice to start the tournament with fifty. But more importantly: three wins in three games. The team is thinking about the next game. It’s not personal, it’s just how we can win games for our team. We have the two points, that’s all that matters,” Raghuvanshi said at the post-match press conference.

In summary, KKR’s target of 273 proved too high for DC as they gave in to pressure and ultimately suffered a 106-run defeat.

The pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora took two wickets each to reduce DC to 33/4 in the powerplay.

These early blows derailed DC’s approach to chasing down the huge total, becoming more challenging with each delivery.
