Voters cast a scathing verdict on Joe Biden’s term in office, labeling him the worst president in recent history in our exclusive poll.
That means they view him as less impressive than Jimmy Carter, who was voted out of office after one term for presiding over double-digit inflation and a failed effort to rescue American hostages in Iran.
And it makes him even worse in the eyes of voters than Richard Nixon, who was forced to resign after one of the most devastating scandals to ever hit the White House.
But when 1,006 registered voters were asked to rank the last nine presidents, from best to worst, Biden ended up at the very bottom of the table.
About 44 percent ranked him as one of the bottom two, while only 14 percent ranked him in the top two, giving him a net score of 30 points underwater.
That was worse than Nixon, who came out with negative 25, and Donald Trump, with negative 15.
James Johnson, co-founder of JL Partners who conducted the poll, called it a “diabolical” result for Biden.
“There’s always a recency bias and since Joe Biden is the sitting president, that’s where he starts at a disadvantage,” he said.

“Voters have clearly looked at his age, general behavior while in office, his failed withdrawal from Afghanistan and the situation at the southern border, and have concluded that, in their view, this qualifies him as the worst president in modern history.
‘And that is the position in which he leaves office. From the man who defeated Trump to the man who let him back in, and who voters believe has been fundamentally a bad president.”
The 82-year-old Biden will leave office on January 20 next year.
He dropped out of his re-election bid in July as he trailed Trump in the polls and as his own allies demanded he step aside.
Senior Democrats blame him for leaving the election to Republicans and not giving Vice President Kamala Harris enough time to mount an effective campaign.
Last week, he sparked further outrage when he announced he was granting a broad pardon to his son Hunter, who was convicted on gun and tax charges, reversing promises he would do no such thing.
Our poll found that more than half of American voters believed he was wrong to pardon his son. And it caused Biden’s historically low approval rating to drop another four points, to 37 percent.
JL Partners surveyed 804 registered voters on December 2. The results have a margin of error of plus/minus 3.5 percentage points

And he appeared to fall asleep this week at a meeting of African leaders while in Angola.
All that puts him at a low point on our list of presidents.
Ronald Reagan, remembered as the leader who won the Cold War and whose economic policies reduced inflation and created jobs, comes out on top, followed by Barack Obama, the nation’s first African-American president.
Bill Clinton comes in third, suggesting that Biden cannot blame his low ranking on anti-democratic bias.
Nixon, who left office under the cloud of Watergate, is in second place. Yet “Tricky Dicky,” who resigned after it was revealed he was involved in covering up a burglary by members of a group tied to his re-election campaign as they tried to bug opponents’ offices, is even more popular than Biden .
