The Indore police claimed to have busted a racket involving betting of millions of rupees on the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket matches and arrested eight persons in this connection, an official said on Thursday. “During interrogation of the suspects, it was discovered that their online gambling network was spread across Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra,” he said.

Police have seized 22 mobile phones, 17 chequebooks, five laptops, 21 passbooks and 31 ATMs, along with registers containing millions of rupees of online betting accounts from their possession, he said.
