Delhi Capitals recorded their first win of IPL 2024 after beating Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs in Visakhapatnam. DC opted to bat first and posted a total of 191/5 in 20 overs, with David Warner and Rishabh Pant hitting half-centuries. Later, DC restricted CSK to 171/6 despite MS Dhoni’s quick showing off 37 off 16 balls. It was a visual treat for all Dhoni fans around the world as he smashed four boundaries and three sixes but it was all in vain as CSK ended up on the losing side.
With their first defeat of the season, CSK have dropped to second spot in the points table with two wins in three matches and a net run-rate of +0.976. Kolkata Knight Riders have jumped to the top spot with two wins in two matches. matches and a net run rate of +1,047.
Earlier in the day, Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets to register their second win of the season.

Delhi restricted Chennai to 171-6 for their first win of the season, handing their opponents a defeat after two opening wins.
Khaleel Ahmed returned bowling figures of 2-21 and Mukesh Kumar picked up three wickets.
