Helicopter crashes into a house in Mentone, Melbourne

Extraordinary photo shows how close a helicopter pilot was to his death when his crashed aircraft hangs precariously on a roof after it crashed into a Melbourne home.

A small helicopter crashed into the roof of a suburban house in Melbourne’s south-east.

At around 1 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon, the helicopter struck the Mentone residence at Tylden Court.

Ambulance Victoria stated that the pilot, a male, was stable and was assessed on the spot by paramedics. He was then taken to Alfred Hospital with lower-body injuries.

The incident occurred when no one was present at the house.

Horror photos taken at the scene of the crash show multiple firefighters trying to rescue the man trapped in the wreckage.

Victorian Emergency Services Said The Pilot Is In A Stable Condition And Being Assessed For Lower Body Injuries Following The Crash (Above)
