Mumbai Indians have succumbed to their third consecutive defeat of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season in Monday’s match against Rajasthan Royals. Hardik has not won a single match for his side since his appointment as captain of Mumbai Indians. Against the Royals, he seemed to have good contact with the bat, but he couldn’t convert his cameo into a bigger punch. As MI suffered yet another defeat in the ongoing campaign, Hardik took to social media to post an inspiring message.

Hardik’s post is truly a fiery message for fans who have already started to give up on Mumbai Indians’ success this year.
After the match, Hardik admitted that it was his wicket that shifted the balance of the match in favor of Rajasthan.
“Yes, a tough night, we didn’t start the way we wanted to start. I wanted to counter, we were in a good position to get around 150-160, but my wicket allowed them to get back into the game more. “I had to do a lot more. It’s okay, we didn’t expect a surface like that, but you can’t always have it as a batsman, it’s nice sometimes for the bowlers to have a say.
“It’s about doing the right things. Sometimes (right) results happen, other times they don’t. As a group we believe we can do much better, but we have to be a little more disciplined and show a lot more courage,” Hardik had said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
With three defeats in as many matches, Mumbai are at the bottom of the IPL 2024 points table.
