Viewers have demanded Danny Dyer get his own cooking show.

The actor, 46, is best known for playing tough Mick Carter in EastEnders, but he appeared in the Channel 4 series’ Stand Up to Cancer special and fans took to X to have their say.

One wrote: ‘Watch #GBBO and OMG Danny Dyer deserves his own cooking show!’

Another said: “I think we need a Baking with Danny Dyer series.” Love this episode on @Channel4, watch it and support it.”

Even the official SU2C account tweeted: ‘We’ll settle for a Danny Dyer channel. Foolishness!’

Viewers have demanded Danny Dyer get his own cooking show following his appearance on GBBO on Sunday night.

Danny’s fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim that he should get his own cooking show.

The former soap star claimed at the start of the episode that she had “never” baked before in her life and, while making her cake later in the show, panicked that her masterpiece would fall to the floor.

He exclaimed: ‘It’s going to happen, it’s going to happen.’

In the end, Danny decided he was going to “have to live” with the results, but luckily the cake stayed in place.

The Heat actor was joined by comedian Leigh Francis, comedian Rhod Gilbert and radio DJ Yinka Bokinni for the special, which saw Keith Lemon star Leigh, 50, take home the Star Baker apron.

Leigh ditched his alter ego Keith Lemon to take part in the Channel 4 special and managed to surprise judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with his “disgusting” Showstopper.

Tasked with creating a cake from her biggest disaster, Leigh decided to recreate the moment she lost her toenail, making a stunning baked replica of her injured foot.

The judges and viewers were very impressed with the cake, especially after Leigh confessed that she had never made a cake before.

“That toenail looks so realistic,” one viewer tweeted.

There was a brief moment of panic for the EastEnders star when it looked like her multi-layered cake might fall over.
