The moment a security guard punched a woman twice in the face outside a nightclub has been captured on video.
Footage showed customers watching and booing as a fight broke out at Lambys Tavern, near Corio Bay Foreshore in Geelong, about 12.30am on Sunday.
A bouncer, 29, is seen punching an 18-year-old woman in the face, prompting one of his colleagues to intervene to try to separate them.
The woman, who was wearing a dress and high heels, confronted the guard again and received a second blow to the face, knocking her to the ground.
Victoria Police confirmed the woman was taken to hospital “for observation”.

The security guard from Corio, North Geelong, will be interviewed by police at a later date as investigations into the incident continue.
He worked for S&D Security, the site’s security guard subcontractor, but was fired following the incident, police said. Geelong Advertiser reported.
Another skirmish can be seen in the background of the video as another man stopped two others who were trying to reach the woman.
As one freed himself, the other was hit in the face, causing him to stagger violently before the video ended.
The manager of Lamby’s Tavern said staff were aware of the incident and the venue is assisting in police investigations.
“We do not accept the actions that happened outside our premises,” the manager said.
“The police will deal with this matter with our full support.”
A source close to the 18-year-old said she was “doing fine” after the “traumatic experience.”
