A young man from Florida has revealed how he caught a massive 13-foot-long tiger shark and then swam with the predator in the middle of the night.

Mason Carson was fishing with some friends off the coast of Sarasota County when he caught the sharptooth shark.

“Normally, we see a lot of bull sharks and a lot of blacktip sharks. During the winter, we see a lot of dusky sharks and occasionally tiger and hammerhead sharks, but not tigers of this size,” he said.

‘It was a surprise, for sure. At the time we had quite a few rods and reels on hand, and the rod I caught the tiger shark with was for smaller fish and sharks.

“I had left a smaller bait out and it turned out the smaller reel and the smaller bait got picked up,” he said. Click on Orlando.

A video shared by the fisherman shows him boldly standing on the predator’s head and repeatedly trying to pry its jaw open with both hands.

Carson later told the publication that after taking some pictures of the shark, he and his companions released it back into the water.

But instead of letting the fish swim away on its own, the young Floridian jumped into the ocean with it and began paddling.

In another video shared by Carson, the daredevil can be seen holding onto the tiger shark’s fin as he walks.

In the past, the fisherman had managed to catch a bull shark about 9 feet long, but this was the first time he caught a tiger shark.

He also told the Florida-based publication that the only reason he was sharing his unique success story was because of a bet he made with a friend.

“I made a bet in the Wawa parking lot with a friend. He bet me $100 that I couldn’t make the news with my tiger shark.

‘I was scrolling through Instagram and saw that some guy had a sawfish on the news, and he bet me $100 that I couldn’t get on the news because of my tiger shark.’
