The brand was launched in 1919 in the United States and became widely popular in the 1990s as college athletes, skaters, and hip-hop fans adopted sweatshirts as their uniform. It later lost its appeal when more sportswear brands began popping up, but recent efforts to associate the brand with other cult labels have managed to bring it back into the spotlight.

Pop Idol: FEMME burst onto the scene with the release of her debut album ‘Debutante’ last year
Like most of my best ideas, they usually come to me in the middle of the night deep in a cheese dream. With a habit of cooking big ideas around DIY budgets, I knew we had to find a clever way to get the heat into a video.
With that in mind, we’ve come to this miserable chili-eating competition. Director Ben took that initial idea and worked with it and I think together we’ve realized one of my best videos to date.”
“Fire With Fire” sees FEMME return to her indie and electro roots and denotes a pop star who has embraced all aspects of her talent and is in complete control. “I keep pushing myself to go somewhere new,” she explains.
“My writing process is to start with a beat, program a bass line… My production is so intertwined with my writing process, I wouldn’t be able to do it in that driver’s seat. It’s just that I’m flexing my muscles in a different direction.”
The track is the first single to be taken from FEMME until their untitled second album, which is set to be released in early 2018. Until then, there will be more singles and several live performances, most notably a headlining show in Heaven on December 6th.
The tour kicked off on November 29th at Hope and Ruin, Brighton then the 30th at The Exchange, then Bristol then December 2nd in Manchester and a third in Glasgow and tickets Offered for sale now.
