Justin Baldoni has once again come under fire from fans after his 27-minute proposal video to his wife, Emily, resurfaced, as fans called it a ‘red flag’ that they overlooked.
It comes just days after the actor’s It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against him.
The video, which was originally posted on YouTube in 2013, was produced by Justin’s production studio, Wayfarer Studios, and showcased the movie star’s elaborate proposal to his now-wife Emily.
In it, he took her to the restaurant where they had their first date and showed her a pre-recorded clip showing him performing his own renditions of a series of popular songs, complete with flashy costumes and backup dancers.
Amid their recent legal battle, fans have been discussing the video en masse online, with some calling it a “red flag” and a “deranged display of narcissism.”
The 27-minute clip began by showing Justin preparing to propose at the Blu Jam Café in Los Angeles.
He lit candles and placed hidden cameras around the restaurant to capture the moment he took a knee.
He then called Emily and told her to meet him at the restaurant where the two had their first date for a “surprise.”

Justin’s legal team has since denied the allegations and claimed that the lawsuit was an attempt to save his reputation, which suffered during press for his film It Ends With Us.
Once she arrived, she was shown to a beautifully decorated table.
Justin then showed her a pre-recorded video he had made through a television at the restaurant.
The video showed Justin attempting to propose to Emily during a fake appearance at a radio station, but his plans were thwarted when the microphone went off.
He assured the radio station that he will find “something more,” before the video shows him singing three different songs with his friends dancing in the background: God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You by NSYNC, I’ll by Boyz II Menu Make love to yourself and ABBA’s prom queen.
The clip then cut to Justin performing in a flash mob to Bruno Mars’ hit Marry You, complete with a dramatic fake crime scene, which was then turned into a fake movie trailer about the proposal.
The trailer for the imaginary movie included a sweet montage of photos and videos of Emily during her time with Justin.
After that, Just was filmed outside the restaurant, having an emotional moment with his parents, before entering the cafe in real time to greet Emily in real life.
“I’ve never been happier, I’ve never been sadder, I’ve never been more angry, life has never been more beautiful,” he said.

“You make me a better man, and I was thinking about how to do this, and I know the only thing you care about is family, and that’s why I wanted my family to be here.”
He even brought Emily’s mother to be with them for the special moment.
Justin then proposed to Emily and told her he wants to spend his life with her while getting down on one knee.
Of course, she said yes, and the two married in Corona, California, in July 2013.
Last summer, Justin’s proposal video was shared again on TikTokand many called it the “best proposal” they had ever seen at the time, but many now view the video from a different perspective.
“Just watched Justin Baldoni’s proposal video and oh man,” someone wrote on X, along with a meme of someone waving a big red flag.
“I feel vindicated because I have ALWAYS thought Justin Baldoni was shallow since he released that hour-long dance party proposal video on YouTube in 2013,” another person wrote.
Someone else admitted: “I said this when it came out and was told I hate love because they thought it was a deranged display of narcissism.”

“This has aged poorly,” one person wrote in a recent comment.
Another agreed: “Yeah, it’s always been a red flag.”
“He’s so self-absorbed,” said another user.
In documents obtained by TMZBlake claimed that Justin created a toxic work environment, showed her images and videos of naked women, and talked to her about his alleged previous addiction to pornography, among many other alleged incidents.
