Gujarat Titans are doing well in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 2022 champions will be playing under the leadership of young batsman Shubman Gill after their original skipper Hardik Pandya moved to Mumbai Indians. So far, GT has played three matches and won two. Their only defeat was against Chennai Super Kings where they lost the match by 63 runs. However, in their previous match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gill and co recorded a comfortable seven-wicket win in Ahmedabad.

Despite playing in the IPL for just two seasons, GT has amassed a huge fan base across the world. A perfect example of their fandom was seen in a video, which is now going viral on social media.

The viral images are believed to be from the match against SRH, where a young fan happily cheered for GT by jumping on the seat. He got so excited that he ended up taking off his T-shirt and throwing it away while he was dancing.

Netizens were quick to compare his celebration to a viral meme from a football match, with a fan dancing excitedly while cheering on his team.

Speaking of the match, veteran Mohit Sharma was at his deceptive best in the final over with his stunning figures of 3/25, while Afghan spin twins Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad led the middle overs as GT restricted the marauding SRH to a modest 162. /8 after Pat Cummins elected to bat.

South African batsman David Miller found his flair in his 44 not out off 27 balls to anchor the narrow chase despite cramps and wrapped up the match with a six off Jaydev Unadkat in the first ball of the final over.

Sai Sudharsan also improved his game and top scored for GT with his 45 off 36 balls as GT won with five balls to spare.

GT will now take on Punjab Kings in their next IPL 2024 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
