Lara Trump blames foreign entities and the ‘deep state’ for X’s failures

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior Political Reporter

Lara Trump blames the failures at her father-in-law’s event on Iranian hackers and a coordinated “deep state” attack.

The co-chair of the Republican National Committee and wife of Eric Trump accused critics of having a “free pass.”

This comes after a shaky start to the former president’s X event with Elon Musk on Monday, which started 40 minutes late and was plagued by glitches — similar to the campaign launch event the billionaire CEO held for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last year when he launched his presidential bid.

Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday night, Lara Trump said:

I think it’s pretty obvious by now that there are a lot of people, and of course there’s a huge effort being made to keep Donald Trump out of the White House. These people are terrified. This is the deep state. This is the swamp of Washington, D.C.

These are the people who are our adversaries in many cases, they know that the game is up, that the game will end when Donald J. Trump returns to the White House and they are terrified of it.

They’ve had a free rein for three and a half years for people who want to do nefarious activities against us here in the United States, against our allies around the world, to have a free rein and a free rein and they would like another four years of that with Kamala Harris at the helm.

Elon Musk invites Kamala Harris to an interview on X

Following his marathon two-hour chat at X Spaces with Donald Trump on Monday night, Elon Musk extended a similar invitation to Kamala Harris.

The Democratic candidate has been criticized for not giving interviews since replacing Joe Biden as the party’s standard-bearer in 2024.

I’m also happy to welcome Kamala to 𝕏 Spaces.

Prior to her invitation, Harris’ campaign said in a statement:

Trump’s entire campaign is in the service of people like Elon Musk and himself: self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out to the middle class and who can’t do a live stream in 2024.

SpaceX chief engineer Elon Musk participates in a post-launch press conference inside the auditorium at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on May 30, 2020, following the launch of the agency’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission to the International Space Station. Liftoff of SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft, carrying NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley, occurred at 3:22 p.m. EDT from historic Launch Complex 39A. Behnken and Hurley are the first astronauts to launch to the space station from U.S. soil since the end of the Space Shuttle Program in 2011.

Iran rejects Western calls to refrain from attacking Israel

Iran has rejected Western calls to refrain from launching a retaliatory attack on Israel amid fears of a wider war in the Middle East.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Tuesday that “Iran is determined to defend its national security” and claimed that calls for de-escalation “lack political logic.”

He accused Israel of violating “sovereignty and territorial integrity” by killing Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Demands for containment “amount to open and practical support for the source of international crimes and terrorism in the region,” Kanaani added.

His comments came after the United States and several European countries (the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy) issued a joint statement urging Iran and its allies to “renounce their continued threats of a military attack against Israel.”

The White House warned on Monday that an Iranian attack could come within days, after the United States reinforced its military presence in the region with the deployment of a guided missile submarine.

Trump campaign slams Harris team as ‘fucking cowards’ after attacking former president’s botched X event

By Katelyn Caralle, Senior Political Reporter

Donald Trump’s spokesman lashes out at Kamala Harris’ campaign for refusing to attribute her attacks to a member of her team.

Steven Cheung called the vice president’s campaign “fucking cowards” after it released a statement mocking Elon Musk’s “failed” X-Men interview and accusing Trump of seeking to serve “self-obsessed rich guys.”

Trump’s attack dog lamented in an X post:

All these claims, and yet no one puts their name on them.

The vice president’s Quick Reply X account posted a statement Monday night about Trump’s highly anticipated livestreamed event with Musk, which followed the former president’s return to the platform earlier in the day after nearly a year away.

The event started 40 minutes late and was riddled with glitches.

Meanwhile, Democrats were in full fundraising mode during the event, urging donors to “pitch $25 now” because Musk was trying to take “control.”

“Right now, Elon Musk is interviewing Donald Trump live on Twitter (we won’t call him ‘X’),” Harris-Walz’s campaign solicitation message began before asking for money.

It’s not enough that Musk has pledged to donate millions of dollars to help re-elect Trump. He’s using the platform he bought — one of the largest social networks in the world — to spread Trump’s unhinged, hate-filled agenda to millions of users.

Exclusive:The poll numbers that show why Kamala Harris stole Donald Trump’s plan to abolish the tip tax

On Saturday night, Vice President Kamala Harris promised to abolish the tip tax for service workers if she wins the election in November.

Her announcement sparked howls of outrage from Donald Trump, who accused her of stealing his idea after making the same promise in June when a Nevada waitress told him she felt the government was taking too big a cut of her tips.

But an exclusive poll for DailyMail.com shows why Harris won’t mind the theft charges: the policy is overwhelmingly popular with voters.

Nearly two-thirds of likely voters say they support the idea.

And it’s a popular idea across all demographics: Trump voters, white voters, Hispanic voters, Harris voters, young and old, graduates and undergraduates, all support the idea of abolishing the tip tax.
