A woman and a man have died following a car crash in Sydney’s southwest.
A 75-year-old woman died at the scene after a van she was traveling in left King Georges Road in South Hurstville and crashed into a wall.
The 86-year-old driver was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George’s Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
A crime scene has been established and officers from St George Police Area Command have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner’s information.
