An insider said, “Jessica called Meghan nonstop and also called mutual friends to try to restore their friendship.
“She’s devastated Meghan has turned her back when she needs her the most. But their friends have told her not to expect Meghan, because if she cuts someone off, she’ll be done forever – just like her family. ‘

Sources have said Mulroney isn’t the only friend shown the cold shoulder: LA friends have told DailyMail.com that Meghan has cut off many of her old acquaintances as she prepares to reinvent herself as a public speaker.
An DailyMail.com insider said the Duchess has become increasingly difficult to get, fearing her old circle in LA can’t be trusted not to talk to the media about her.
The source said, “Meghan cut off most of her old friends in LA. They were so excited to see her when she got home and expected to hear from her.
“But she never approached anyone. Friends have tried to contact her through Doria, but she doesn’t answer her phone and the old numbers they have for Meghan no longer work.
“Many people are now sad because they have cut them off and have to accept that they will never hear from her again.”

Mulroney is now at a loss and is considering writing a comprehensive book about Meghan ‘because she has nothing to lose,’ friends say
The Duchess has a history of cutting friends and family out of her life, including her father Thomas Markle Sr and half-siblings Samantha and Thomas Jr, as well as ex-husband Trevor Engleson and school friend Ninaki Priddy.
Earlier this week, Mulroney was named by the Telegraph as one of five friends thought to have spoken to People Magazine for a 2019 article, which later led Markle Sr to mail a personal letter from the Duchess on Sunday released.
Meghan is currently suing the newspaper – a sister title to DailyMail.com – for violating her privacy and copyright infringement.
Markle Sr claims he had no choice but to release the letter after feeling attacked by the People article revealing the document’s existence.
The Duchess has always claimed that the friends spoke without her permission, but mentioned them in court documents released last week.
All five – and Markle Sr – will likely be called on to testify in court when the case is brought to trial in London next year.
