Australian motorcyclist daredevil Harry Bink made history this week by becoming the first person to perform a double backflip off a pier.
The world’s first stunt was successfully attempted at Redcliffe Jetty in Queensland in front of a large crowd on Monday morning.
Bink, who had to stop his bike quickly to avoid hitting the fence at the end of the jetty, said he was excited to perform the stunt at Redcliffe, which will host the Fox Australian Supercross Championship in October.

“When I did the first rotation because we were on the jetty, I felt like I was very high in the air, I was looking down at the water and I also felt like I was three times higher in the air than I normally do.
“Having everyone here watching it was crazy.”
Bink recently told fans exactly how he performs the double backflip in a video for Monster Energy.
“As soon as I make that jump, I hit the gas, wait until I get to the top and pull as hard as I can,” Bink said.
‘I slowly shift my weight to the center of the bike and let the bike spin around me.
“After one rotation, I look a little, locate the villous, once I feel myself falling, I sit back down for the second rotation, wheels down.”
Championship director Kelly Bailey believes the first race of the year will sell out.
“We are delighted to bring the championship back to Queensland where we have always received incredible support,” Bailey says.
‘Australian Supercross has had great success in the past in Queensland, from 2019 in Brisbane to Coolum, Jimboomba and Toowoomba to name a few locations.
“The times have aligned to secure Kayo Stadium, where we believe the location, shape and size will produce a world-class track and allow for a great crowd, atmosphere and weekend.”
