The Election Commission has issued notices to Congress leader Supriya Shrinate and Bharatiya Janata Party’s Dilip Ghosh for “derogatory” remarks against actor Kangana Ranaut, the BJP’s candidate for Haryana’s Mandi Lok Sabha, and Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee.
“…on careful examination, the comments have been found to be ‘undignified and in poor taste’ and prima facie contrary to the provisions of the Model Code of Conduct…”, the poll panel said.
