Boney Kapoor opened up about the rift between Salman Khan and Arjun Kapoor in an interview News 18. However, Boney shared that Salman Khan helped Arjun Kapoor during the initial stages of his career. He has also mentioned in the same interview that the equation between Salman and Arjun has not affected his relationship with Salman Khan. Boney Kapoor told News 18, “I may be divorced from Mona (Kapoor, his first wife), but it was never in my mind that Arjun wanted to be an actor. It was Salman who called me and said, ‘Boney sir, he is going to be an actor , he has it in him.’ He took it upon himself to make sure he became an actor.”
Boney Kapoor continued, “He has lost weight. I would give credit to Salman when it comes to Arjun. Whatever is said and done, today their equation may not be that good but he gave his best (regarding) Arjun .His growth was influenced by Salman.”
When asked if their relationship affected his relationship with Salman, Boney explained, “(Their fight) hasn’t changed my equation with Salman. I still love him, I still feel like very few people be like him, with a big heart, a warm heart, whenever.” we meet, we meet with love. There’s a lot of respect he gives me and I love him.”
A few months ago, Arjun Kapoor stepped out to Mumbai to watch Salman Khan’s action thriller Tiger 3. A few pictures from inside the cinema hall surfaced on social media in which the Tevar actor could be seen enjoying the film along with director Siddharth Anand. Arjun kept a low profile in the theater.
The cause of Salman Khan and Arjun Kapoor’s rift is still unknown. Arjun Kapoor was reportedly dating Salman’s sister Arpita Khan at one point, and they eventually broke up. Arjun Kapoor is in a relationship with Malaika Arora. Malaika Arora was previously married to Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan. They co-parent son Arhaan after their divorce. Arbaaz Khan married make-up artist Shura last December.
