Bachelor Nation’s Raven Gates recently opened up about her excitement about the imminent arrival of her first child.
The 30-year-old reality TV personality shared her thoughts on the upcoming change in her life during an interview with People, where she noted that the prospect of becoming a mother was “exciting.”
The influencer will share her upcoming child with her husband, Adam Gottschalk, whom she first met during the fourth season of Bachelor In Paradise.

Gates began by noting that she found out she was pregnant shortly after she tied the knot with her husband last April and that she had wanted to start a family for several years.
She said, “We found out right after the wedding. I’ve wanted to be a mother for a long time. And I’ve always envisioned starting a family with someone I love so much. And extending my love with Adam to a human being, I can’t even imagine!’
The reality TV personality also gave the media a bit of information about her physical well-being during the length of her pregnancy.
She noted that she had experienced “some food aversions”… and the lack of energy is probably what I struggled with the most. It is heavy.’

Gottschalk, 31, also expressed happiness at the prospect of fatherhood, but pointed out that he still enjoyed his time with just his wife.
He said: ‘It’s all great and I’m excited, but I’m also glad the baby isn’t coming right away. I have nine months to get ready!’
Gates also revealed that she and her husband had chosen to undergo genetic testing to understand what health-related conditions their child might have.
‘We wanted to have as much knowledge as possible about things that crop up or diseases that we can carry. It’s really important. And it was super easy,” she said.
