A baby died after his mother was told at birth to push and he fell to the ground when the midwife couldn't catch him.
Grieving father Claudio Mondragon said he witnessed the tragedy when his wife Stefania, 26, gave birth to their son Valentino in a clinic in Argentina.
The young person sustained head injury and was rushed to a specialized hospital in a neighboring town, but was declared dead before arrival.
Claudio, 29, said: “My wife was giving birth and just wanted to have the baby, and they asked her to push and she pushed so he would come out.
& # 39; He came out very quickly and nobody grabbed him and he fell to the ground. The midwife had no time to catch him and the midwife did not respond. & # 39;

An investigation is underway at the Sanatorio Pronto clinic, in Gualeguaychu, Argentina, to decide whether his death was due to medical negligence
Grieving parents Stefania and Claudio have already buried their tragic son Valentino
& # 39; The only thing they did was lift it off the floor and place it in an incubator and take it to another hospital. & # 39;
The freak accident occurred last Thursday afternoon in the Sanatorio Pronto clinic, in the city of Gualeguaychu, about 150 miles north of the capital, Buenos Aires.
The baby boy died when he was taken to a specialized unit at the San Roque hospital in Parana.
An investigation was started by a local prosecutor to determine if his death was the result of medical negligence and whether someone should be prosecuted.
Valentino is already buried in a cemetery in the birthplace of his parents, Urdinarrain, near Gualeguaychu.
A preliminary autopsy would have concluded that the baby boy died of a head injury corresponding to a fall.
Marina Soledad Berardo-Mondragon, a relative of the sad couple, placed a photo of a black ribbon with the name Valentino on it next to a white balloon on Facebook.
Marina replied to condolences: & # 39; Thank you all, I don't understand what happened. & # 39;
A friend of Claudio wrote on Facebook: & # 39; Stay strong Claudio and Stefania. I hope that those responsible are called to account for what happened. & # 39;
