Moussa Dembele has been officially unveiled as an Atletico Madrid player after the Frenchman completed a shocking six-month move to La Liga on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old was offered the No. 19 jersey, previously worn by Diego Costa, as he was first portrayed on the field at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
Atletico signed the Lyon striker as a direct replacement for Costa, whose contract was terminated in December, with a reported buy option of £ 29.6 million in the summer.

The attacker has joined the La Liga club on a rental basis for the rest of the season
Dembélé had two productive seasons in France after leaving Celtic in 2018.
The forward scored 21 goals and made six assists in his first campaign, followed by 24 goals and seven assists in 46 games last season.
Lyon sports director Juninho revealed that Dembele had approached him earlier this month about his desire to leave the Ligue 1 club.
Atletico reportedly has an option to buy the 24-year-old for £ 29.6 million over the summer
The forward scored just one goal in 16 top matches this season and Juninho claimed he had “lost a little motivation.”
Moussa came to me. He thinks now is the time to switch teams, that he has lost some motivation, ” said the Brazilian.
‘We had not foreseen this. I like him very much. Keeping someone who doesn’t really want to sustain the intensity for the next five months is not ideal. ‘

Leicester’s Islam Slimani will replace Dembele at Lyon, with the attacker negotiating an 18-month loan agreement.
Slimani has not played for the Foxes since losing 1-0 to Aston Villa in October and has been on loan for the past three seasons.
