An Australian man who is the spitting image of Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed the surprising way his movie star looks helped him buy a property.
Brisbane influencer Shaun Birley, 35, said he was able to purchase a property in Queensland worth $1.34 million after securing several endorsements due to his resemblance to the Hollywood star, 47.
‘I wish I could say he could potentially be my half-brother, but no. The funny thing is I don’t see it and people mention it every day,” he said. Real Estate.com.au.
His resemblance to the Marvel favorite is so striking that he was once approached by producers who asked him to appear as Reynolds’ double in a commercial.
‘Unfortunately, we had a schedule clash, I missed an announcement with Ryan in Abu Dhabi. The producers said they’ll keep me in mind for future work, which is great.”

‘Those guys do an amazing job. It has gone up quite a bit and has been revalued at $1.7 million. It was completed at the end of last year and is an investment.”
Meanwhile, Reynolds stayed busy last year filming Deadpool 3 in England alongside his best friend Hugh Jackman.
