A lone Ukrainian marksman skillfully eliminated Russian soldiers who had surrounded his den in a close-range firefight, dramatic video shows.
Four enemy shooters were positioned a few meters from where the soldier was taking refuge, outnumbering and outgunning him.
Surprisingly, the Ukrainian defender was able to take out two of them with limited firepower, while keeping the other two at bay.
Reinforcement then arrives for the soldier, said to be a fighter from the 5th Slobozhan Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine (NSU), and the team kills the two remaining Russian soldiers.
The ambush took place near the village of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, which Ukraine recaptured from Vladimir Putin’s forces in September and has seen heavy fighting in recent months.

The pair are seen hiding behind a bush as they attempt to return fire, but are eventually eliminated by the Ukrainian fighter and his comrades when they arrive to help.
The images were obtained from the NSU, along with a statement that read: “War is about strength of spirit and lust for life – a fighter from the NSU’s 5th Slobozhan Brigade single-handedly held a position against four Russians in the Klishchiivka area.
‘He eliminated two enemies on his own and held out until help arrived from a nearby position and he finished off two more.
