The Chase star, 58, known as ‘The Beast’ on the hit show, revealed his plans for his anniversary date to The Sun.

The glamorous Sky Entertainment reporter, 42, said she couldn’t wait for the date and would make their anniversary “last a month” if she could.

The couple have been dating since early 2023, and Mark previously admitted that he is a “very, very lucky man” to be with her.

Sources claim the star courted the TV presenter on a series of dates after being “friends for some time”, following his split from wife Katie in 2020.

Hayley previously admitted on Good Morning Britain: “I don’t watch The Chase, no offence, but I never make it to 5pm.” I came to see Beat The Chasers and he did everything right and I thought, “Wow, that’s really sexy.”

Mark admitted that the relationship has its challenges due to the distances between them, as he lives in Rotherham, while Hayley lives in London.

Speaking about long distance, he said: “We do a lot of checking with our diaries, so, for example, we’ve both worked out that we’ll be in Southampton next month for a few nights, so we’ve arranged some dates while we’re there.” You are down there.

Hayley added: “I think it’s healthy sometimes.” When you meet someone, it’s too early, but we both really want to see each other in a few weeks.

During her interview with GMB in January, the Chase star denied undergoing weight-loss surgery after losing 10 kilos.

He said: 'We found a bench in a quiet spot by the beach and spent hours talking and getting to know each other, so we decided to come back to celebrate our anniversary.

The contest champion admitted he lost his appetite after having Covid and is now struggling to finish his meal.

Presenter Susanna Reid asked: ‘How did you do it?’ to which she quickly responded: ‘Not with a gastric band. I’m not quite sure how.

‘I weighed myself the other day and I weighed just under 19 kilos and at my heaviest, I weighed just under 185 kilos, 29 kilos. Basically, all these years I’ve been carrying a sack of coal on my back.’

Mark added: ‘During the pandemic I was looking after my little one and I really started to admire people who are dedicated full time to looking after young children.

‘I don’t know how I did it, but I was lucky and after one of the Covid attacks my appetite disappeared and never came back. Hayley will agree that even now I struggle to finish the meal.

Mark now goes to the gym with Hayley to tone up and said: “I used to go to the gym a lot and by these shoulders you could tell I could bench press my own body weight, so I’ve always been a strong guy, I was just a fat, strong boy. I was shot put champion at Oxford in 1985.

It comes after Mark revealed exactly how much he weighs following his 10kg weight loss.

Hayley posted a clip of Mark working out on a treadmill and elliptical before stepping on the scale.

Alongside the video, Hayley gushed: “I’m so proud of @markthebeatlabbett. He started coming to the gym with me in the mornings and is doing really well.

‘He has dropped to 124 kilos/ 19.5 kilos. We’re planning to tone and improve conditioning.’
