New Delhi:

Father-son producer duo Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani are currently gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. In a widely circulated video on social media platforms, Vashu Bhagnani said that he is confident that their film, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, will amass a whopping Rs 1,100 crore at the box office. The last film to achieve such figures was Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Notably SRK’s 2023 release, Pathan, has also crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally. Vashu Bhagnani seems to be betting that their film will surpass both SRK’s blockbusters.

In the music video, Jackky introduces himself and his father Vashu as the “real Bade Miyan Chote Miyan”. In reply, Vashu confidently said, “Rs 1100 crore confirmed hai worldwide” (Rs 1100 crore worldwide confirmed). In response to his father’s big statement, Jackky said “tathastu (amen).”

While the Hindi film industry has been going through a rough patch since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathanalong with his earlier release Jawan, changed the scenario by emerging as the highest-grossing films. Especially Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal emerged as one of the highest-grossing films last year, with a worldwide gross of Rs 900 crore.

However, Bhagnani’s production house, Pooja Entertainment, experienced setbacks in their last two releases, Mission Raniganj And Ganapathboth of which failed to make a mark at the box office.

Meanwhile, Ali Abbas Zafar’s latest venture, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, with Manushi Chillar and Alaya F portraying their love interests. Teased as a high-octane action thriller, the film follows elite soldiers as they thwart the nefarious plot of a masked villain with an AI weapon. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist role in this action-packed spectacle.

The release is scheduled for April 10, just before the Eid holidays. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is all set to clash with Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan At the register.
