A British woman has died after traveling to Türkiye to undergo gastric band surgery.
Hayley Butler, 40, reportedly died due to complications from the operation after returning home to the UK. reports the Eastern Daily Press.
Her family have paid tribute to the dog groomer, with Butler’s devastated mother Gillian Moore saying: “Hayley was the most carefree and caring person – she always cared about others.”
‘I’m heartbroken. She was my soulmate, my friend and my rock.
“My life will never be the same without her.”

It is currently unclear when Butler’s death took place.
Butler was the owner of Diva Dogs, a successful dog grooming salon in the Shipfield area of Norwich.

Describing her friend and colleague, Jessica Carter said: ‘There is so much to say about Hayley that it is impossible to put it all into words.
‘She was just unapologetically Hayley.
‘She was incredible at her job and very knowledgeable. I have been a hairdresser for 10 years and I learned a lot from her.
“But she wasn’t just a dog groomer, she was very funny, she was bright, cheerful, had an infectious laugh and could make anyone laugh.”
“It’s a shock for everyone: she was so young and it feels so cruel.”
Butler’s customers also took to social media to share their tributes following his tragic passing.
One said: ‘There are some people in this world who make everything seem better, Hayley was one of them.
‘She was always smiling and we would usually laugh about something or another.
‘She was lovely with our fur babies and with us.
“I feel lucky to have met Hayley, it’s a privilege to have met such a lovely person.”
It is currently unclear when the death occurred, but the Diva Dogs social media account posted that Butler would be out of the salon between mid-September and until October 14.
