What happened to our finances in 2024? Will we be richer in 2025? This is the money podcast

What marked the financial agenda in 2024? Was it the Labor Party coming to power in the UK, Donald Trump winning the US presidency, or interest rates falling from their peak but not as much as expected?

Last year was another tumultuous one, but it offered plenty of profit opportunities as the US stock market soared again, bitcoin surpassed $100,000, and savings rates remained above 5 percent.

For some, however, it was bad news for their finances as the shock of huge increases in mortgage payments hit them in the pocketbook.

In this end-of-year podcast, Georgie Frost, Lee Boyce and Simon Lambert review the big financial news of 2024 and expect us to get richer in 2025.
