Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Bronwyn Newport revealed she spent Christmas in the ICU while supporting her mother during a medical emergency.

Sharing the news via Instagram on Thursday, the fashionista, 39, explained that her mother underwent emergency surgery just days before the holiday after doctors discovered a brain tumor in the back of her skull.

‘I’m very scared and worried, but my mum has helped a lot of people over the years. And she always refused help for herself,” she wrote. “It’s an honor to be the one here.”

The reality star expressed hope for her mother’s recovery, adding, “We are very hopeful, after a long recovery, that she will be her usual self, feisty and amazing.”

Bronwyn shared that her mother had been treated for a tumor in an almost identical location almost 30 years ago and had been in good health until recently.

Over the past month, her mother had become “exhausted and frail” while caring for Newport’s father, who has Alzheimer’s and broke his pelvis in a fall in November this year.

“I spent the whole afternoon with her in the ER, and then Christmas Eve too,” Bronwyn wrote. ‘I went home that night to be with my dad and one of his wonderful carers. Thank goodness you can get pizza delivered for three people on Christmas Eve!’

The medical emergency caused Bronwyn to miss Christmas with her husband Todd Bradley and daughter Gwen, 18.

‘Thank goodness Todd and Gwen adore each other enough to celebrate with impromptu plans for Christmas Eve and Day without me!’ she said.

Bronwyn ended her post with heartfelt advice for fans caring for loved ones in the hospital.

“Your own socks are much better than the hospital ones,” he said.

“And my mom taught me that nothing feels better than good lotion, a foot massage, and fresh, clean socks when everything else hurts.”

As of Friday morning, the Bravolebrity had yet to provide an update on her mother’s condition.

The Christmas emergency comes after Bronwyn revealed details of a shock dog attack that left her with 37 puncture wounds in April.

Reality TV fans were stunned when Bronwyn revealed the gruesome bite marks on her legs and arms during a recent episode.

He has since provided a harrowing and detailed account of the attack, describing the events and his reaction to the ordeal.

While at a dog park in Salt Lake City walking one of her six dogs, Bronwyn attempted to pet another dog, only to have it suddenly lunge at her.

Bronwyn admitted she was “completely scared” and confessed to having “done everything wrong” in her panic: screaming and shaking her arm in a way that likely intensified the attack.

Fortunately, a nearby Good Samaritan witnessed the incident and rushed to help, taking the dog away.

Bronwyn was later hospitalized, where doctors found 37 puncture wounds and a small fracture in her bicep caused by the bite, according to People.
