X (formerly Twitter) apparently suffered an outage on Thursday and users around the world reported problems.

The problems began around 3:45 p.m. Eastern time and affected people in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe who were having difficulty using Elon Musk’s social media site.

Tens of thousands of people reported problems on the Downdetector website, which is likely a vast undercount of the total number of affected users.

The most common complaints were about issues loading content on the mobile app, but it seems there are issues affecting the website as well.
