Britney Spears’ agreement with her father Jamie was reportedly to protect her from reliving past trauma from her 13 years of conservatorship.
The singer, 42, has not held her father responsible for having control of her life and finances during this period of time.
The American star has since spoken out about the “damage” her family caused her and claimed justice has not been served in an Instagram post on Sunday.
The lawyers reached an agreement on the conservatorship, which determined that Britney must pay her father’s $2 million legal fees.
Following the news, Britney wrote on Instagram: ‘My family hurt me! There has been no justice and there probably never will be!’

However, it has now been stated by the Sun that the reason the case didn’t go to court was because it would force her to relive her most embarrassing moments.
Britney was placed under conservatorship in 2008, where her father managed her financial and personal affairs due to concerns for her mental health.
A source said: “Her legal team decided the focus should be on protecting her from reliving the traumas of her conservatorship.”

‘I was actually right about the nerve damage in my back!!!’ she started in caption.
‘Now I have to do (acupuncture) every day of my life!!! Words and overthinking make it worse! If only people knew I once had to crawl to my own door!!!
In the post, she said: ‘My family hurt me!!! There has been no justice and there probably never will be!!! The people who sat back and did absolutely nothing when they did that for four months are sailing along smoothly!!!’

Her post comes after Britney quietly resolved her years-long legal battle with her father Jamie, 71, last week.
The ruling saddles Britney with Jamie’s legal bill, in addition to the $4 million she allegedly spent on her own lawyer.
With nothing awarded to the Baby One More Time artist, Britney is said to be in a bigger financial hole than before the trial.
‘The way I was raised I was always taught the formation of good and evil, but the two people who raised me with that method hurt me!!!’ she wrote in Sunday’s post. ‘I am very lucky to be here!!!
It’s funny because to this day I haven’t told him face to face!!! I text on IG, but I honestly think it won’t be as safe if I ever meet face to face.
‘The child in me knows they would be destroyed and that’s basically it!!! I miss my home in Louisiana and wish I could visit but they took everything!!!’ Britney added.
According to TMZ, Britney is furious about the outcome of the settlement after her lawyer Mathew Rosengart assured her it was a strong case.
In legal documents obtained by the outlet, Jamie accused her daughter of using delay tactics to drag out the case.
Britney’s father was her guardian during the 13 years of conservatorship, which ended in 2021.
That June, she gave testimony about the ‘abusive’ treatment she allegedly suffered during guardianship.
He also accused Jamie of financial misconduct as his guardian. what they paid him for $16,000 a month and received a percentage of his tour grosses.
With the agreement, Britney and her father avoided going to trial.
The ruling imposes Jamie’s $2 million legal bill on Britney, in addition to the $4 million she allegedly spent on her own lawyer.
