Nicole Barrenger, 45, has not been heard from since Tuesday.

Police have been searching the Sisters Beach area where he lives, about 87 kilometers west of Devonport in the state’s northwest.

A large-scale search intensified Wednesday after officers discovered his vehicle at the Sisters Beach boat ramp.

There are serious concerns for Ms Barrenger’s well-being.

Authorities have deployed several police units and ground teams, including the police dive squad and Surf Life Saving Tasmania.

Melbourne’s Westpac rescue helicopter is assisting in the search.

Ms. Barrenger is described as having a heavy build and shoulder-length red hair.
