The 2024 ESPY Awards featured plenty of eye-catching looks on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, but the ceremony also featured some notable faux pas and looks that were complete disasters.
The sports-themed awards ceremony was marred by red carpet ensembles made from garish fabrics, incompetent cuts and unfortunate lapses in taste.
Leading the pack of worst-dressed stars was model Taylor Laffey, who wore a white dress that had a cartoonish hourglass figure cut into the bodice and a billowing skirt.
Olympic sprinter Allyson Felix also made a fashion faux pas in a white minidress that upstaged her with its oversized three-dimensional flower design.
And WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick dressed a little too casually in a black lace dress that looked more appropriate for the bedroom than the red carpet.
Taylor’s dress simply failed to support her figure, as its bodice, with shallow cutouts on the sides, made it look as if it was glued to her.
Even more exaggerated was the irregular shape of the skirt of the dress.
It was slit to the upper thigh, and the billowing, raised skirt looked totally out of place with the rest of the white satin dress.
The model did herself no favors by styling her hair into what looked like a quick, simple ponytail that was out of place with the rest of her ensemble.
She was accompanied by her boyfriend Johnny Townsend, a free agent NFL kicker.

Other worse-dressed stars included Lindsey Vonn, whose canary yellow dress hung off her shoulders and appeared to be bunched messily around her waist.
UConn star Paige Bueckers looked great in an oversized mauve KidSuper suit made of a thick material, but the brand’s recognizable doodle detracted from the fun fit.
Country singer Mickey Guyton’s look paired a semi-sheer printed skirt with a black minidress that looked out of place and made her torso appear boxy.
Selling Sunset’s Mary Fitzgerald Bonnet wore a long white corseted dress, but the crumpled skirt of dangling satin strips looked frayed. She was joined on the red carpet by her ex, Jason Oppenheim, who wore a too-tight grey suit with ridiculous drawstring trousers.
Other men at the ceremony tried to spice up their suits, but ended up choosing ugly, cluttered fabrics.
