Celebrity chef Jamie, on the other hand, rose to stardom after appearing on The Naked Chef in the late ’90s, quickly becoming a household name.
After leaving school at 16 to hone his culinary skills in Paris and London, he cemented his status in TV after starring in a documentary in 1997 that eventually led to his own show.
Meanwhile, Gordon went from a hopeful football career to a shocking injury that landed him in the culinary industry.
Having learned the ropes from legendary chef Marco Pierre White, the TV chef founded Gordon Ramsay Restaurants in 1997 and has been awarded 17 Michelin stars in total, and currently still has eight.
The ranking comes as Jamie shared his eight-year-old son River’s scathing comment about his success as a chef.
The celebrity chef has achieved global fame with his numerous television shows, cookbooks and restaurants over the past three decades.
However, Jamie admitted that his son, who he shares with wife Jools Oliver, 50, is not very impressed with the trajectory of his career.
“The other night, River said, and I have no idea where it came from, ‘Dad, do you have a Michelin star?'” he recalled on The Graham Norton Show earlier this month.

“I was like, ‘No, I don’t really like all that fancy food,’ and he shook his head and said, ‘You don’t like fancy food?’
Jamie laughed and admitted: ‘I actually felt like I hadn’t worked hard enough!’
The Naked Chef star appeared on the chat show alongside Sigourney Weaver, Nicholas Hoult, comedian Lolly Adefope and Coldplay’s Chris Martin.
She also talked about her new cookbook Simply Jamie and explained that she wants to encourage the next generation to appreciate cooking.
“People cook less than ever; we have a fourth generation that hasn’t learned to cook, so I want to take them by the hand so they can make the most of food, waste as little as possible and save money.”
Jamie shares River and four other children with Jools, whom she married in July 2000 in Essex.
They are parents to Poppy, 22, Daisy, 21, Petal, 15, and Buddy, 13.
Buddy has decided to follow in his father’s culinary footsteps and has even published his own cookbook.

“Buddy has been my shadow in the kitchen since I was little and has always found cooking to be a real adventure,” Jamie recently shared on Instagram.
‘As a parent who cooks, it’s been such a pleasure to watch and be a part of his journey learning new skills and cooking new dishes… just look at those photos of baby Buds!!!’
Speaking about his cookbook, the teenager previously said: ‘None (of the recipes) are fancy or difficult to make; you’ll find things like easy breakfasts, meatballs, pizza, and some sweets.
“I just hope people enjoy trying them.”
Jamie and Jools renewed their marriage in the Maldives in 2023 with their children.
The chef admitted he initially felt “embarrassed” by the ceremony, but ended up “probably enjoying (the day) more than anyone else.”
Speaking on the Newlyweds podcast, she told hosts Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo: ‘We were going to renew our vows at 20 and then Covid happened.
‘So, it was when I was 23. The girls were going off to college and stuff, so I felt like the nest was starting to break up.
‘We’d never been on what you’d call a posh holiday, so we went to the Maldives.
‘I felt a bit embarrassed by the whole thing, if I’m really honest.
‘I wasn’t that interested until we got there, and then when we got there, I think I probably enjoyed it more than anyone else. It was so enjoyable.’
The couple exchanged vows for the second time earlier this year in Las Vegas to mark their 24th anniversary.
