- The Yankees-Dodgers matchup is the most anticipated World Series in years
The Yankees and Dodgers kicked off the World Series on Friday night in Los Angeles, and a host of celebrities, including Jimmy Kimmel and John Legend, were in attendance to watch Game 1 of the Fall Classic.
Kimmel was seen sitting next to Jim Gentleman and Cleto Escobedo III, and the late-night host was all smiles from his seat behind the Yankees dugout.
Also nearby were actors Billy Crudup and Jason Bateman, as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. Actor Will Arnett was also present.
Singer John Legend was also seen in the stands with his children, while fellow artist Lil Wayne could also be seen enjoying the game.
Additionally, country singer Brad Paisley started the night by singing the national anthem, while ‘Breaking Bad’ actor Bryan Cranston also addressed the crowd before the game.

Also present was rapper Lil Wayne, who could be seen enjoying the game from the stands.
Singer John Legend was also at the game, as he sat with his children at Dodger Stadium.
Lakers legend Magic Johnson, co-owner of the team, was also present.
The series is expected to draw massive numbers with arguably MLB’s two most prominent franchises facing off.
The Dodgers advanced to the World Series after beating the Mets in six games in the National League Championship Series.
Meanwhile, the Yankees beat the Guardians in just five games to reach the franchise’s first World Series since 2009.
The Dodgers attended the Fall Classic in 2020, when they beat the Rays after a Covid-shortened regular season.

‘Breaking Bad’ actor Bryan Cranston addressed the crowd before Game 1 on Friday
Co-owner Magic Johnson was also on hand to watch Los Angeles take on New York.
While Paisley and Cranston graced the Dodger Stadium field before the game, the home team also remembered team legend Fernando Valenzuela before Game 1.
Valenzuela passed away at age 63 earlier this week, just days before his beloved team returned to the World Series.
The Dodgers announced the news of his death Tuesday night without giving a cause of death.
Valenzuela’s grieving family gathered on the field after team introductions as the Dodgers paid tribute to their legend before the start of the World Series.
