The post, which was shared earlier this week, was largely inundated with comments about items found in a suitor’s bathroom.
One user commented: ‘Toilet paper stocked, sheets on the bed, (clean) hand and body towels and tea towels separated, artwork on the walls, a CLEAN TOILET and SINK.’
“Towels and hand soap in the bathroom,” another shared.
A third person added: ‘Clean and dry towels. And a big green flag if they have hand and face towels too. Astronomical bonus if they keep face towels separate/in a special place.’
Someone else shared: ‘Hand soap… but also, discreetly, a trash can in the bathroom. I know, it’s weird, but there were so many times I had my period at a guy’s house and I wondered what I should do, lol.
Similarly, others praised men who had sanitary products such as tampons or pads available for female visitors.
Another big ‘green flag’ One of the top priorities for women was to see that a man had pets or plants.
One woman wrote: ‘Plants. It is the best option after having a pet. Plants need care, they are alive and having one (or many) shows that they have a protective side.’
The post, which was shared earlier this week, was largely inundated with comments about items found in a suitor’s bathroom.
A second person commented: ‘Personal preference but houseplants are always a green flag. An added bonus if they know how to spread and make that fish fall.
Another added: ‘Well cared for pets. Clean litter box, fresh water, full food/regular feeding schedule. I love watching him. “It breaks my heart and it’s a huge red flag to see any signs of pet abandonment.”
‘A loving and well-behaved pet! It’s amazing how much a person treats another living being and that can tell you who they are!’ another observer chimed in.
Elsewhere, many women admitted to having also analyzed a man’s kitchen.
One person wrote: ‘Some clean plates. I don’t care about the dishes in the sink, I’m not a hypocrite. But the situation is terrible if you don’t have a clean glass so I can drink water.’
A second person added: ‘The kitchen is reasonably stocked with equipment. I understand that I have little food; I am often lacking in that department too.
Another important “green flag” that was a top priority for women was seeing that a man had pets or plants.
‘But, have at least pots and pans, spatulas and tongs, colander, whisk, ladle; etc It makes coming for fun cooking dates so much easier, and you can find all of this at Goodwill, so there are no excuses.
A third person commented: ‘A well stocked fridge. It doesn’t have to be full, but there should be more than one takeaway and some energy drinks.
Some women added that seeing objects displaying a man’s hobbies is another definite “green flag.”
One person wrote: ‘Hobby test!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m a nerd and I love watching nerdy things. Books, game builds, mini model builds, Legos, puzzles, board games, instruments/pedals/equipment… Tell me all about it! Show me everything!’
A second person commented: ‘Cleanliness, although I think it’s the minimum. To me, a big green flag is some evidence of a hobby or interest, something they are passionate about or proud of.’
One person added: ‘When I first went to my future husband’s apartment, I immediately noticed he had framed pictures of his family and even his cats. Instantly, a goalkeeper hahaha.’
