A man was also found at the scene and is being held under police surveillance while an investigation is underway.

Emergency services were called to the hotel on Mulgoa Road at around 1.10pm after the woman’s body was discovered.

“The man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition,” NSW Police said in a statement. . The deceased woman has not yet been formally identified, but a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that “the couple are believed to know each other.”

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command have established a crime scene, and investigations will be carried out by local detectives, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Team.

Investigations at the scene are likely to continue for several hours.
