A 14-year-old boy allegedly armed with a knife and screwdriver has been charged after an incident forced the closure of a secondary school in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

Police said when officers arrived, the boy became disarmed.

He was arrested and charged with one count of robbery and committing a place, stealing, being armed in a manner likely to cause fear and threatening to kill.

The boy will appear in Halls Creek Youth Court in June.
