The suspect in the alleged stabbing was arrested in Geistown on Tuesday and charged with murder, the same day Williams was found with multiple stab wounds.
Joshua Gorgone, 26, has been arrested and charged with murder
Denise Williams, 54, planned to buy a new refrigerator for her boyfriend, Guy Eldridge, as a gift.
She went to the apartment of Joshua Gorgone, 26, after he listed a refrigerator on the Facebook Marketplace.
Gorgone told detectives he stabbed Williams with a kitchen knife after a dispute over how much the refrigerator should cost.
An autopsy revealed defensive wounds, suggesting there was a battle before Williams was killed.
“She really fought,” said Jeff Lees, Cambria County Coroner. “This was a violent death she sustained.”
Williams was found in Gorgone’s apartment after being reported missing the previous night.
Police were able to locate Williams by tracking her phone and using a Facebook account Williams’s family provided.

Williams and Gorgone are not believed to have known each other prior to their fatal meeting.
“She went there to look at the refrigerator and unfortunately never got out,” said prosecutor Greg Neugebauer.
City officials are now urging caution when it comes to meeting strangers for transactions, such as those promoted through Facebook Marketplace.
“It’s never a good idea,” said Geistown Borough Police Chief Nicholas Zakucia of a meeting at someone’s home.
‘Public place. Meet more than one person. You never know what you will run into. ‘
According to WJACGorgone has been denied bail and has scheduled a preliminary hearing for April 14.
Eldridge alleges that Williams has used Facebook Marketplace in the past, including to buy engine parts for him.

Eldridge described Williams as someone who “wouldn’t hurt a soul” while charting his path without her.
‘Just trying to keep loving the way she’d like me to do and living life to the fullest, as she expected me to like me,’ Eldridge told WJAC
You just know you’re always trying to remember her in the happier times.
I just hope that justice will be served. Bring closure for our family, bring closure for myself because she didn’t deserve this. I just hope that justice will be served. ‘
A GoFundMe page has been organized to help pay for the funeral and memorial service, as well as the daughter and son Williams is leaving behind. It has raised more than $ 17,000 to date.
“If you knew Denise, then you know she was one of the most charismatic, loving and stubborn people you will ever meet,” the page says.
According to a GoFundMe page, Williams is leaving two children
“There’s never a challenge she’d come back for, and when it came to her family, there were no efforts she didn’t want to put in.”
Most of the transactions on Facebook Marketplace happen without incident, but there are sometimes serious issues with these deals.
Last month, a newly licensed broker was killed after selling his dirt bike on Facebook Marketplace for $ 2,750.
Joseph Vindel of New Orleans went to an unincorporated city to make the sale, but was reportedly murdered by a 20-year-old who took a bicycle and fled.
