Taylor Swift’s 2018 Reputation Stadium tour drew a crowd of just over 50,000, not surpassing U2’s 2010 concert which had 55,000 in attendance.
VenuesWest urged fans attending Sheeran’s concert to plan ahead, arrive early and use free public transportation before and after the concert.
Concertgoers should avoid driving, with road closures around the venue.
More than 1,700 employees will work at the event, which will serve some 7,000 soft drinks, sell approximately 18,000 servings of French fries, and consume more than 6,000 burgers, pies, salads and packets of sushi.
An additional 700 bus and train services will be deployed to get people to and from Optus Stadium, while approximately 400 additional public transport authority staff will be deployed to support the event, including train and bus drivers and transit guards.
