The 28-year-old Australian tennis champion retired by surprise decision at the height of her career, at the age of 25, in March 2022, and is now exploring new projects.

She took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal that she has created a series of children’s books about her beloved sport, called Tennis Camp Diaries.

The first book in the series is titled Doubles Disaster and is scheduled for release on July 3, with Ash sharing snaps of her proudly posing with the book.

Alongside the snaps, the mother-of-one wrote: “I’m so excited to share my new children’s book series with you all.”

“It’s called Tennis Camp Diaries, and the first book, ‘Doubles Disaster,’ follows Ash’s ups and downs going to tennis camp, competing in a doubles tournament, and other fun adventures.

‘It’s been fantastic to collaborate again with the team behind Little Ash, Jasmin McGaughey and Jade Goodwin, to create this story. Book one comes out July 3. I can’t wait for everyone to read it!’

This isn’t Ash’s first foray into children’s literature, having previously teamed up with Jasmin McGaughey to help create the 10-book Little Ash series.

Her latest professional venture comes after she shut down rumors that she would return to professional tennis.

There was also speculation that she might take up her husband, Garry Kissick’s golf, but she firmly denied the rumours.

“The answer is no to both,” he said. New Idea Magazine when asked about the speculation.

Ash sensationally left the sport at the peak of his powers following his historic victory at the Australian Open in January 2022.

Since her retirement, Ash welcomed her first child with her husband Garry and took to Instagram in July to confirm the happy news.

She later spoke about the joy of being a mother and shared how rewarding raising her newborn son, Hayden, has been in many ways.

“It’s the best and hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life,” Ash told News Corp.

‘Hayden is amazing, I feel very lucky. “Garry and I are really enjoying a pretty quiet time together at home as a little family.”

Ash said the bond he has formed with Hayden is “amazing” as he gushed about motherhood.
