But two avid travelers have shed light on Disney’s less dreamlike side in the form of one of its “worst-rated hotels.”
YouTube brothers Lucas and Jacob Cruikshank checked into the Florida park’s All-Star Sports Resort for the night.
After reading dozens of negative reviews online on Reddit and Tripadvisor, the duo labeled it the “worst-rated and cheapest Disney World hotel.”
In an attempt to find out if the complaints were legitimate, the brothers paid $150 to stay in a standard room.

In the introduction, Jacob explains that the sports-themed hotel was built in 1994 and is currently rated three stars.
On Tripadvisor, it currently has four out of five stars from 5,669 reviews, which they say is actually “pretty good.”
After exploring the grounds, which feature oversized sports memorabilia installed in various locations, the duo check into their room: room number 2128.
Jacob explains that the room is in a basketball-themed area of the hotel.
Upon entering the space, the brothers seem disappointed to find no sporty décor inside.
To top it off, the only Disney detail they see is a framed photo of Mickey, Minnie and Donald above the bed.
Jacob comments: “This hotel room is pretty basic. It doesn’t have a sports theme.”
Meanwhile, Lucas describes the accommodation unit as “basic.”

After settling into their room, Lucas and Jacob discuss some of the bad reviews they’ve read about the resort.
Some complaints refer to “paper-thin walls,” while one reviewer complained that a housekeeper entered their room at 8 a.m. on the day of check-out while they were in the shower.
Lucas says his biggest complaint about the place is that it has no amenities, “not even a gym.”
While other Disney resorts have multiple restaurants, he says All-Star Sports only has one food hall.
As for food, they venture to the End Zone restaurant for dinner, where Lucas opts for garlic shrimp with steamed rice and seasonal vegetables, and Jacob opts for chicken parmesan pasta.

They give the food a five or six out of ten, and Lucas says he gave it a low rating because his meals were served on paper plates.
Although the flavors are said to be passable, Jacob is not impressed with the atmosphere of the place.
He tells his brother: “I feel like I am visiting a relative who is about to die in a hospital and this is the food they give me.”
Overall, they give the food a rating of five to six out of ten, and Lucas says he gave it a lower rating because his meals were served on paper plates.
From the dining room, the duo tour the resort’s gardens and grounds and the games room before turning in for the night.
However, when they get into bed, they notice dirt on one of the bedspreads and focus the camera closer.
The next morning, they deliver a verdict on his stay.
Jacob tells viewers: “I slept fine, but that bed creaks a lot. There were a lot of times where I thought, ‘I think the bed just broke.'”
He also says he understands the comments about the walls being thin.

And although they had no major complaints, Lucas still considers it “the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.”

‘I even called the front desk about halfway through our trip to request more mugs for the room and they brought them to the room before I could return (so the response time was very quick).
“Seeing this really brought me back.”
Another less enthusiastic commentator revealed: ‘School groups (cheerleaders, football teams, etc.) usually stay on All-Star Sports.
“These children have a lot of energy that they release in the common areas outside the hotel rooms.”
