Terrifying footage shows UNLV head football coach Barry Odom being thrown off a bull in a bizarre stunt while trying to raise money for his team ahead of the upcoming season.

Video from a rodeo in Las Vegas on Saturday night shows the 47-year-old attempting to ride a bull, ‘Widowmaker,’ at halftime benefiting the UNLV Football Foundation as part of the ‘Horns & Helmets’ event , according to KTNV.

He lasted about three seconds before falling to the ground and showed signs of physical pain as he crouched down to get up from the brutal fall.

But Odom was later checked by staff as he left the South Point Hotel & Casino Equestrian Center.

He even gave the crowd some post-bull riding commentary.

UNLV head coach Barry Odom rode bulls at a Las Vegas rodeo on Saturday, according to video.

The 47-year-old was checked by staff after just three seconds into ‘Widowmaker’

Odom rode a bull to raise proceeds that will go toward UNLV football scholarships, teams and facilities.

“He was in control from the beginning,” Odom said of the bull. “I tried to reach it, but I couldn’t get there.”

Tickets were priced at $150 each, according to The Daily Caller.

Proceeds will go to the football program for scholarships, equipment and facilities.

Odom led the UNLV Rebels to a 9-5 record in his first campaign with the team last season, drawing crowds of more than 40,000 fans to Allegiant Stadium on several occasions.

The team also qualified for its first Mountain West Conference Championship Game in program history, but lost to Boise State in that game.

UNLV also earned a berth in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, the program’s first appearance in a bowl game in a decade, losing to Kansas.
