The destruction of two chimneys at a coal-fired power plant in western Pennsylvania last week caused some damage to nearby homes, but the demolition company has vowed to repair all damages.
And local media indicated that the demolition process relied on emptying the chimney from the inside of the air pressure when it collapsed. An emergency official in the county said that the explosion shattered the windows and destabilized the electric current, which led to the damage of a number of devices.
The company announced that minor damage repairs are underway, and “will be completed completely to the satisfaction of each affected property owner.”
