Fans were delighted in 2022 when it was announced that Wallace and Gromit will return for a 2024 Christmas feature film.
And now new casting details have been revealed for the new film, which will see Peter Kay reprising his role as Chief Inspector Mackintosh.
The new film will be 70 minutes long and titled Vengeance Most Fowl and will feature the return of iconic penguin supervillain Feathers McGraw.
Ben Whitehead will return as the voice of Wallace, while comedian Peter, 50, returns as Chief Inspector Mackintosh.
They star alongside new cast members Lauren Patel (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Lloyd of the Flies) and Reece Shearsmith (League of Gentleman, Inside No.9).

Feathers McGraw was last seen in 1993’s The Wrong Pants, where he wreaked havoc on the dramatic installment.
The new Wallace and Gromit feature film comes more than a decade after the broadcast of their last special A Matter Of Loaf And Death.
The first short trailer showed Feathers breaking out of prison and preparing to wreak more havoc.
The spin-off will come from Aardman’s creative team, which is also behind the popular children’s television series Shaun The Sheep.
The upcoming film will focus on Gromit’s concern that Wallace has become too dependent on his inventions.
Their concerns are demonstrated when Wallace invents an “intelligent gnome” that develops a mind of its own.
As events spiral out of control, it’s up to Gromit to put aside his scruples and fight sinister forces, or Wallace may never be able to invent again.
The film, made by animation powerhouse Aardman, follows Shaun the Sheep’s latest adventure, The Flight Before Christmas, a Wallace and Gromit spin-off that aired on BBC One in 2021.

Nick Park, creator of Wallace and Gromit and director of Vengeance Most Fowl, said: “I’d had the idea for a movie about garden gnomes turning bad for over a decade, but I could never figure out what made them bad.”
“It occurred to me that the question I get asked most when I meet fans is: will Feathers McGraw the penguin, Wallace and Gromit’s original antagonist in The Wrong Pants 30 years ago, ever return?
“We’ve had fun bringing him back as a cameo, but now, three decades later, it seemed like the right time.” Then it hit me: What if Feathers was involved with these gnomes?
“We hope this movie appeals to ‘Gnome Noir’ fans around the world and makes people feel satisfied when they see what Feathers has been up to since The Wrong Pants.”
Merlin Crossingham, creative director, added: “While we love reviving the enthusiasm among our existing fan base, we also want this film to reach people who have never come across Wallace and Gromit before.
“Hopefully Vengeance Most Fowl will be filled with everything people love about Wallace and Gromit while also introducing new themes to their ongoing story.”

The series consists of four short films and one feature film along with numerous spin-offs and television adaptations.
