A phantom urinator has been relieving himself on a medical supply vending machine in the emergency department of a Sydney hospital, prompting staff to call for him to stop.

A post on the ‘Humans of Eastwood Daily’ Instagram account revealed photos of notices on an emergency room machine at the unnamed hospital.

The now-deleted post was titled: “We must all accept that some things in this world have no answers.”

ER machines are specialized vending machines that dispense medications and medical supplies directly to patients.

The vending machine in the Instagram post appears to dispense syringes.

Two signs were placed on the machine about an apparent serial urinator.

The first sign said: ‘This is NOT a public bathroom!!! STOP using it as such!!’ This was accompanied by an angry, frowning emoji.

A sign below read: ‘To all our customers (and the urinator), although we were hoping it would stop, unfortunately we still arrive at work to find that someone has urinated on the ED machine!’

‘Not only is this objectionable to our staff, it is also unfair to our customers who use this service!’ So we have reached the point where we have to say enough!

“If this happens again, we will be forced to consider installing a camera in this space.”

‘STOP using this space as a public toilet!’

The warning notice was adorned with numerous angry and frowning emojis.

Comments on Clr Li’s Instagram post expressed outrage that someone would urinate in an emergency department vending machine.

‘Why would you urinate in an erectile dysfunction machine?’ one wrote.

“Some people are so disgusting,” wrote another.

Several of Clr Li’s followers suggested why the ‘urinator’ would commit such a disgusting act.

After explaining what an ED machine is, one follower wrote: “People may be urinating on it because it attracts addicts to the area and they don’t agree with the machine.”

“It will be a baby boomer who thinks that the prices of their properties will go down with the machine in the surrounding area,” wrote another follower.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Clr Li for comment.
