A body has been discovered in the search for a woman who went missing in the Lake Macquarie district of New South Wales.
Vicki Davey, 63, from the Lake Macquarie area disappeared while walking in the woods on Wednesday.
Around 12 on Friday, police discovered the body of a woman near a canal in the Glenrock Nature Reserve in Kahibah.
The body has not yet been formally identified, although police believe it is that of the missing woman.
A report will be prepared for the coroner’s information.
Police were alerted when Ms Davey could no longer be contacted and began investigating her whereabouts.
Ms Davey went missing from the Lake Macquarie area of New South Wales about 11.30am on Wednesday.
