A portable DVD player sold at JB Hi-Fi has been recalled over fears it could cause serious injury, death or property damage.
The ACCC has urged consumers to stop using the Blaupunkt dual-screen portable DVD player.
The alert warns that the battery could overheat and catch fire, an incident having already occurred.
‘There is a risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage due to fire. An incident has occurred,’ the alert states.
The product was sold in JB Hi-Fi stores between January 1 this year and October 7.
People have been urged to stop using it immediately and return it for a full refund.
The affected serial numbers are AGL37790001 to AGL37791000.
