A popular milk brand has issued an urgent recall of its products due to possible traces of almonds in 27 states.

Lactaid milk from Massachusetts-based HP Hood LLC may contain “potential or undeclared allergens” that are not listed on labels, according to a recall by the FDA.

The brand was withdrawn from the market on September 20 due to the presence of traces that may represent a serious or potentially fatal danger for those who consume the product and are allergic to nuts and almonds.

The recall applies to a limited number of 96-oz. plastic containers of refrigerated Lactaid milk, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
