An unearthed photo of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs holding what appears to be a pill next to model Kate Moss’s shoulder has sparked widespread discussion online.
The alarming image, from talent agent Paul Rowland’s 40th birthday party in New York City in 1999, shows Moss apparently unaware of the small white object the disgraced rapper is holding near her.
Diddy, now facing decades in prison on sickening sex crime charges, grabbed Moss’s neck in the image, taken at Victor’s Cafe, a Cuban restaurant and nightclub in Midtown Manhattan.
Later that night, another image from the dance floor showed Moss dancing and twirling with other revelers.
The image has circulated on social media several times since Combs was arrested in New York in September.
There is no suggestion that Kate was ever aware of Diddy’s alleged wrongdoing.
At the time of the 1999 photo, Moss had just broken up with actor Johnny Depp. He has long been rumored to have used drugs during his formative years and even appeared to make a joke about using cocaine during a 2022 event.
The iconic model, 50, has since said she gave up partying for a healthy lifestyle.
Diddy has remained behind bars since his arrest three months ago, accused of sex trafficking and extortion following allegations that included drugging and raping women. He denies the accusations against him.
An unearthed image from 1999 sparked fears in model Kate Moss as it appeared to show Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs looming over the star with a pill in his hand.
Later that same night, at talent agent Paul Rowland’s 40th birthday party in New York City, another image from the dance floor showed Moss dancing and twirling with other revelers.
At the time, Moss had just broken up with actor Johny Depp, photographed together in 1995.
Moss has previously downplayed her hard partying days, where she was a tabloid darling for years and was often photographed with celebrities like Diddy.
In 2022, Moss poked fun at his past reputation when he teamed up with Diet Coke, as he told an audience member in a promo: “Well, I’ve always loved coke.”
Kate spent years in the spotlight as part of the casual fashion world, most infamously being photographed next to lines of white powder in 2005, prompting headlines to call her ‘Cocaine Kate.’
Following the scandal, Kate was fired from seven companies, including Chanel, Burberry and H&M, and worked for years to restore her public image.
The year before her photo with Diddy in New York City, Moss also checked into London’s celebrity-friendly The Priory rehab center while reportedly struggling to come to terms with her breakup with Depp.
In recent years, before his arrest, Diddy claimed he spent “surreal” nights with Moss in Paris.
‘Sometimes I’m in the studio until 3am, or I’m in Paris at the fashion shows and, you know, I just hang out until the morning with Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. Those times are always surreal,” he told in the shine in 2015.
“I remember one time: I had just done a photo shoot for Vogue, and then Kate, Naomi and I went out and did something a bit touristy and cliché.
“We went and had champagne at the Eiffel Tower…someone had brought music and we had a little party there, just the three of us.”
Representatives for Kate Moss did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces decades in prison after being accused of attacking victims over several years, and three accuse him of drugging and raping them in shocking new lawsuits this week.
The shocking allegations against Combs made headlines again this week as an amendment to a lawsuit filed in October by mogul and rapper Jay-Z.
According to the lawsuit, Diddy and Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000 at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards. Both men deny the accusations against them.
Jay-Z issued a blunt response claiming he is the victim of a “blackmail attempt” by attorney Tony Buzbee, who has filed a series of lawsuits against Diddy and has mocked more celebrities involving A-list celebrities.
And in a separate lawsuit filed in New York State Supreme Court by attorney Thomas Giuffra, it was alleged that a male victim woke up after being drugged to find Combs sexually assaulting him.
When the victim woke up, the rapper allegedly told him, “I’m almost done.”
The claim sparked new allegations that Combs drugged and raped three men between 2019 and 2022, with another man claiming his attack was filmed and he was later given $2,500.
The third man claims that Combs and his associates ‘from Bad Boy Records’ took turns sexually assaulting him at a party in the Hamptons.
Rap legend Jay-Z was named in a new lawsuit alleging that he and Diddy (pictured together in 2008) raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Both men deny the allegations.
Guiffra alleged in his filing: ‘(Combs) ‘has a deep contempt for men and women and a constant practice of denigrating, drugging, blackmailing and humiliating them.’
Combs is a rich and powerful public figure who was able to take advantage of drugging these men.
“After the attacks, he ensured their silence by threatening them and relying on their fear of his power,” he said.
“This is a long-awaited opportunity for victims to take back power after silently bearing the brunt of the attacks for several years.”
In response, Combs’ representatives said: ‘These complaints are full of lies. We will prove them false and seek sanctions against every unethical lawyer who has filed fictitious lawsuits against you.’
