Viral doorbell footage of Sean Strickland shows the former UFC fighter brandishing a gun at pranksters outside his home, just six months after he held a man at gunpoint on his property.
Strickland, who last fought in the Octagon in January, said TMZ that the incident took place over the weekend, at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday.
According to the wrestler, several teenagers jumped out of a car and entered Strickland’s front yard before making a loud noise near the home’s entrance after surrounding the house.
Surveillance video from the home shows Strickland leaving in a bathrobe in reaction to the noise, as he can be seen with a firearm in his left hand. No shots were fired.
“You guys have a car, it’s Friday night,” Strickland said in a caption to the footage shared on his Instagram. ‘Why aren’t you outside trying to catch P? Kids these days. All the wrong priorities.
Sean Strickland pointed a gun at pranksters outside his home early Saturday morning.
Strickland, 32, will fight at UFC 302 in June after losing to Dricus Du Plessis in January.
It is unclear whether the teens intentionally knew they were pranking Strickland.
But the 33-year-old has hinted at similar incidents before, such as when he pointed a gun at an intruder in his driveway while the man was fleeing police in November 2023.
“I didn’t see the doorbell alert until after…” he said. ‘Just so you all know! They send me crazy things to my house…hahaha!’
Strickland also once chased a man with an x-shaped flamethrower.
In September, the American surprised Israel Adesanya by winning the middleweight title at UFC 293.
His next fight will be against Paulo Costa at UFC 302 on June 1. Strickland lost a five-round decision to Dricus Du Plessis in January.
